Monica and Erik's Winter Wedding at The Tudor Barn, Burnham

One of the best parts of our job is working closely with gorgeous couples like Monica and Erik. Having already chosen The Tudor Barn in Burnham – a venue steeped in history, with timber beams dating back to 1505 - and being in the very capable hands of the 'Wedding Mummy' Debbie - the Coordinator and Manager of the barn - they were already off to a fantastic start. Having worked at The Tudor Barn for over 15 years and helped just under a 1000 couples plan their dream day, Debbie admits that she's a hopeless romantic. She gets emotionally invested in every wedding, building a close rapport with each couple to make sure they really do have the best day of their lives.

Debbie suggested they contact us for the sound and lighting. And we're so glad she did! From our very first meeting at our Bourne End office, eighteen months before the big day, we knew that this would be a fun experience for us all. They were very clear with the look and feel that they wanted – a 'Winter Wonderland' with cool and shimmery lighting and the ability to change the lighting effects throughout the day to reflect the mood of each part. A close friend had offered to DJ, so sound equipment would also be needed.

With both bride and groom having very busy careers, we were keen to ease the stress of planning and organising their wedding. We listened carefully, made suggestions and provided demos that fit their ideas and budget. We also liaised directly with their DJ friend to have the 'technical chat' needed to make sure all our PA equipment worked well together.

Once Monica and Erik were happy with our approach and pricing, they secured their date over a year in advance with a small deposit. We then refined the details six months before the big day to produce a uniquely personalised sound and lighting production to include:
In the run up to the day, we met with the excited couple again to reconfirm everything to set their mind at ease. Then we worked closely with the ever so amenable Debbie to set up at 7am on the day. In true fairy tale style, we broke down the installation and collected at midnight where we met the new Mr and Mrs Joseph, who live 'happily ever after'!
